We leave Cape Town, connect in Doha and head off to London. The adventure begins the moment you step on the plane — Europe is waiting!
We arrive in London early on Saturday at 05:55. After passport control we climb aboard our tour bus and drive to Windsor, where centuries of British history come alive. In the afternoon we check in at our youth hostel and get settled into our rooms. Later we head out to the lively streets of Piccadilly Circus and learn how to use the famous London Underground. After dinner we visit Trafalgar Square, and then you will have some free time to explore the city centre with your friends.
Sunday is packed with the best of London. After breakfast you will receive your underground train pass and we set out for Trafalgar Square. From there we walk down The Mall to Buckingham Palace, where we hope to see the Changing of the Guard. We continue on to Westminster to view the British Parliament and then visit the Tower of London, home of the Crown Jewels. The afternoon is yours to explore, relax, or shop with friends, and at 19:00 we meet again for dinner. In the evening you may choose to experience a West End theatre show or simply enjoy London’s vibrant nightlife responsibly.
On Monday we begin the day at the world-famous Madame Tussaud’s, where celebrities, superheroes and royalty stand side by side in wax. In the afternoon you can join the tour leader for more sightseeing, or you and your friends can design your own mini adventure in the city, learning to plan routes and manage your time.
Tuesday 31 March gives you a final free morning in London to enjoy the city one last time. In the afternoon we collect our luggage at the hostel and set off for Howick, departing at 17:00. That night we sail across the Channel on the ferry to the Netherlands — fall asleep in one country and wake up in another.
Wednesday greets us with Dutch charm. After disembarking at Hook of Holland, we stop at a cheese and clog factory to discover these traditions up close. We continue to the beautiful village of Vollendam, where you can taste local herring and poffertjies. On our way to Amsterdam we visit an old windmill, a true Dutch icon. After dinner we set off on a guided walking tour of Amsterdam’s canals and narrow streets.
Thursday is a day of art and inspiration. We visit the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, where you will see masterpieces such as Rembrandt’s Night Watch. The afternoon is free for you to explore Amsterdam your way, and the evening is open for you to experience the city’s energy responsibly.
Friday is all about bikes. If you haven’t cycled through Amsterdam, you haven’t really experienced it. Everyone gets a bicycle and we set out to ride through the city, over bridges and alongside canals, just like the locals do.
On Saturday we say goodbye to the Netherlands and travel to Paris. That evening we make our way to the Trocadéro, where you can take the perfect Instagram photos of the Eiffel Tower lit up at night.
Sunday is a full day of walking and exploring Paris. We start at Notre Dame, still a powerful symbol of the city despite the fire damage. From there we stroll to the Louvre to see its incredible art collection, including the Mona Lisa. Our walk continues past Place de la Concorde, along the Champs-Élysées, up to the Arc de Triomphe, and on to Sacré-Cœur and Montmartre. It will be a long day, but one filled with unforgettable sights.
On Monday 6 April we visit Versailles, the extravagant palace built by King Louis XIII and expanded by his son Louis XIV. With the help of a guide we learn about its history and splendour. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your own pace, and in the evening we gather for a picnic under the Eiffel Tower. Those who wish can go to the top of the tower, while the rest of us enjoy dinner together outdoors. April in Paris can be chilly, so we will adapt our evening plans to the weather.
This tour is about more than just travel. It is about learning to navigate new cities, experiencing history and culture, growing in independence, and creating memories with friends. There is plenty of freedom, but with that comes responsibility — to look after yourself, respect the group, and use each opportunity to learn and discover.
