The JIP Tour is not simply about visiting places; it is about gaining a head start in life.
Some people mistakenly believe it is a shopping trip or a drinking tour. If that is your attitude, this tour is not for you.
Our tour leaders are far more than supervisors. They are dedicated educators who are internationally recognized for their contribution to education. For them, an overseas tour is not merely a holiday—it is a meaningful educational investment. Nor is the tour simply about sightseeing or playing games that could be enjoyed anywhere else.
The educational objectives of the JIP Tour are our highest priority. This goal-driven approach has enabled Temba College and Travel to offer the JIP Tour almost every year since 1993, with the exception of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We certainly want you to enjoy the tour, but even more importantly, we want it to provide you with experiences, knowledge, and life skills that are difficult to acquire elsewhere.
Education is our passion, and our methods have received international recognition. Learning is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the tour, and you will most likely discover that education can be both inspiring and enjoyable.
Our primary objectives are to:
1.Teach young people to take responsibility for their own safety and security.
2.Encourage genuine experiences of Europe rather than simply passing through it. You experience Europe through its food, public transport, culture, and by communicating with your European peers.
3.Provide insight into the European economy and the factors that shape it.
4.Maintaining a decent level of physical fitness without ever engaging in physical training.
5.Develop an understanding of modern European history, particularly the period from the end of the First World War to the present day, and how historical events continue to influence decisions and societies today.
6.Foster understanding, respect, and appreciation for diversity in opinions, cultures, ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientation, and gender.
7. Enable you to navigate large cities confidently and independently, just as Europeans do, rather than relying on private cars or taxis.
8.Cultivate compassion, empathy, and kindness, even in difficult circumstances.
9.Demonstrate that a person's true worth is determined by their character and actions, not by their appearance.
10.Show that lasting happiness comes from appreciating and enjoying the everyday tasks that life requires of us—such as washing dishes or doing laundry—and not only from the activities we choose because they seem enjoyable.
11.Prepare you to serve your country, school, family, and community with integrity, responsibility, and love as a mature young adult.
12.Equip you with the confidence, independence, and skills needed for future study or employment in Europe or anywhere else in the world.

Amsterdam remains an important destination, we will also visit Berlin, Fussen, and Innsbruck. These areas play a more significant role in the modern world, and we believe exposure to them will further enhance your success in achieving our goals.
Our culture remains unchanged; we still mainly stay at campsites and participate in camp activities. Youth hostels or campsite cabins provide accommodation, and we'll even rent bikes in Amsterdam for a true European experience.
During the tour, we'll cook together in Amsterdam and Italy, and each of you will be expected to contribute to smaller tasks. However, our full-time cook will handle most of the work. Your active participation is crucial to the tour's success, including kitchen tasks.
There are often gatherings for young people at the camp, and the tour leader will join in the fun. When there's no organized event, you're free to visit other safe places of your choice. We aim to give you as much freedom as possible while ensuring responsible behavior.

Throughout the tour, we treat you as young adults, providing plenty of free time and humor. However, we also understand the importance of meeting parents' expectations. Therefore, certain basic rules apply, and we expect everyone to adhere to them.
The popularity of the tour stems from positive word-of-mouth and the value it brings to its participants, even 32 years later. However, we are aware of past issues with alcohol abuse, exhaustion, and time-wasting. To maintain a safe and enriching experience, alcohol abuse and drunkenness are not allowed on the tour. We prioritize activities that promote learning, growth, and genuine enjoyment.
For those aged 15 to 18 (Grades 10 to 12) in 2027, seeking an affordable and independent European adventure with a focus on education, this tour promises to be a highlight. If shopping for clothes is your sole interest, this may not be the right tour for you.
Our mission is to help teenagers thrive in the global village and achieve success. We do this by empowering you to explore Europe on your own, spending longer periods in each place to achieve our educational goals. Therefore, we plan to stay at least two nights in one place and three nights in three places whenever possible.
Join us on this transformative journey and embrace the opportunities for growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences. Together, we'll make the Jip Tour 2027 the best one yet!
